Woodford Cricket Club, located in Woodford, Cheshire near Stockport, is one of the oldest and most renowned cricket clubs in the county. Founded in 1893, it has a rich history and tradition of producing talented players who have represented the club at various levels.
The club has three senior teams, junior teams of different age groups and a thriving girls’ team. It provides a welcoming environment for all players, regardless of their age or skill level.
Woodford Cricket Club has always been known for its strong sense of community and sportsmanship. The club prides itself on providing opportunities for young cricketers to develop their skills and grow as individuals. With excellent facilities and a dedicated coaching staff, the club ensures that all players are given the support and resources they need to reach their full potential.
Senior Cricket
Senior cricket is at the heart of Woodford Cricket Club, with three teams competing in various leagues and competitions. The first team has a long-standing history of success, having won multiple championships and trophies over the years. They continue to maintain their high standards, consistently finishing near the top of the league table.
Over 40’s Team
Our Over 40’s team competes in the Cheshire League Central Division 2 and despite being a relatively new addition to the club, this team has quickly made a name for themselves with their passion and skill on the field.
